Gray Magee Solicitors was formed in 1997.  In 2002 the firm acquired the established practice of J M Boyd, Solicitors in Ballyclare.

Marie Galvin joined the practice as an Assistant Solicitor in 2007.

Solicitor Profile

Stephen Gray - Stephen qualified with a BA Honours degree from Queen’s University, Belfast in 1990 and was admitted as a solicitor in 1993. He formed his own practice at the young age of twenty eight. Stephen specialises in Personal Injury Practice. He is currently the Northern Ireland representative on the Executive Committee of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). APIL is a significant charity which promotes the interests of victims of personal injury accidents. Stephen is also a former member of Law Society Council. Stephen’s other practice areas include Insolvency, Commercial Litigation, Licensing, Business Sale Agreements and Partnership Dissolution.

Elaine Magee – Elaine qualified with an LLB Honours degree from Leeds University in 1987 and was admitted as a solicitor in 1989. Elaine’s principal practice areas are in the field of Personal Injury, Matrimonial and Family Law. Elaine is a member of the Children’s Law Panel and holds the position as Guardian at Litem to children under disadvantage. Elaine is also a member of the Collaborative Law Group which seeks to find alternative ways of addressing the issue of Matrimonial breakdown and its consequences.

Marie Galvin. Marie is the youngest member of our solicitor team having graduated with an LLB Honours degree from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2003. She was admitted as a solicitor in 2005. Marie specialises in House purchases and Probate and has demonstrated herself to be an extremely personable and dedicated solicitor.

Personal Injury – The firm has detailed and in depth experience in this area of practice. Both Stephen Gray and Elaine Magee have been heavily involved in campaigning for the rights of the victims of personal injury over the past ten years.

Trusts – The firm has established a Trust Company designed to protect the compensation awarded to the victims of Personal Injury. In this way many injured people have had their State Benefits protected from recovery by the Government and this has been coupled with sound investment advice from an Independent Financial Advisor.

Matrimonial and Family – Our Matrimonial Partner has very considerable experience in this area. Matrimonial breakdown is very stressful. It is our job to ensure that you obtain a just and fair outcome.

Conveyance and Probate – Buying and selling property is one of the biggest decisions that an individual or couple will make. Planning for the future through making a will and planning your estate are vitally important.

Debt Recovery - Are you owed money? Over the last four years we have developed a bespoke debt recovery service. We aim to make a seamless transition from Credit Control through to the Legal Enforcement of debts utilising the most direct means at our disposal at little direct cost to you.
